reversa skincare

Lately I have been writing a lot of makeup reviews and will continue to because all my everyday makeup seems to be running out at the same time.  So I’ll interrupt these makeup posts with a skin care one this week.  I haven’t really changed my skin care routine all that much since the colder weather came in and I had change it so I could add more hydration to my routine.

For years every winter I would use a toner, a face moisturizer and do a face peel once or twice a week all containing glycolic acid.  My face wouldn’t have any problems using all this glycolic acid and my skin that would be clear and smooth.

So this winter for the first couple months I was using a hydrating serum and a hydrating gel cream and I was doing well with it.  But at the beginning of this year for some weird reason, just under my chin I broke out quite a bit.  And it was only in this area that I was breaking out which I have never had a problem before.

Now that I have this issue, I know exactly what to do.  I started doing my facial peels once a week, a clay mask and I have now started using a face cream that has 8% glycolic acid which I will be reviewing and this post.  Read on for more info.

Reversa anti spot night care with 8% glycolic acid

Glycolic acid-one of the more smaller molecules of hydroxy acid.  It is used for skin discoloration, scarring and signs of aging like a fine lines and wrinkles.

Now that you know what it is you also know that it is one of my favorite ingredients in the skincare because I’ve got nothing but results from moisturizers containing this ingredient.

I have used other skincare products from this Montreal based skincare line and I’ve never had a problem using their skincare products.  This product has 8% glycolic acid which is the highest amount that this skincare line has.  This one is specifically for night time and it also has plants extracts.

This skincare product has eight bunch of skin friendly ingredients like vitamin E and hyaluronic acid to help moisturize the skin.  It also has kiwi fruit and Rumex that is a rare plant extract and both of them help to reduce the production of that pesky brown pigment called melanin that gives it the color.  And for people who have sensitive skin, they have included an amino acid called arginine and a skin protectant called Allantoin to help reduce any irritating sensations.  Plus of course 8% of glycolic acid to help exfoliate the skin.

For the past month I have been using this face cream under my chin area and it has helped to reduce my current breakouts and also heal my skin after those breakouts.  It definitely does not irritate my skin because it feels very emollient to the touch.  So because it’s only part of my face that I am using it on, I’m glad that it comes in a pump format.  I will post on my Instagram the before and after of what my skin looks like.

Safe to say that I do love this moisturizer and in conjunction with using this moisturizer, I also use a peel once a week to help accelerate the process and of course I am always hydrating and protecting my skin to keep these results.  My skin is often dehydrated and sometimes feels tight after these treatments so I do use a hydrating serum under the glycolic acid moisturizer.  This moisturizer has really helped clear my skin and the bonus part of this moisturizer is that it is anti-wrinkle which is perfect at my age.

Now that I have gotten this skincare post at of my system, the next couple weeks I will go back to my makeup posts.  So until then have a good day my beauties!

Tip: when it using glycolic acid, you should always wear sunscreen to protect your skin from the amazing results you’ll get but also your skin can get a little sensitive to this ingredient.  But I always say where it anyway because it’s just good for your skin.
