Bioderma cleanser

I’ve always had a simple skincare routine.  Because I have oily skin I usually keep it simple especially in the summer time when my skin gets shiny very quickly.  So everything that I put on my face has to be oil free, non comedogenic and also a nice matte finish is a definite but I don’t need my skincare products to over dry my face.

So how do you find a skincare routine that will complement your skin?  It’s all about trial and error and also do your research.  You may see the hottest trending product on your Instagram feed, maybe blogs or vlogs that you follow we’ll give you inspiration, or maybe word of mouth that your best friend or colleague is using and are getting great results.  However you stumble upon your next greatest find, just be aware that it can go either way.  It can be your next greatest find or not the product you thought it would be.

The product that I will be reviewing today and how I stumbled upon it is called Bioderma, a little known French Company that has the number one selling cleansing water.  That’s how I started on this brand and I am currently using their cleansing water and facial cleanser for combination to oily skin.

When I went on their website to do research for this product, I was very shocked about them.  They’d take skin care very seriously because the way they talk about it, their model, their story and how much research that goes into each product really makes this company stand out for me.

This cleanser is paraben free, soap free, hypoallergenic and non comedogenic.  This cleanser is specifically for combination to oily skin and skin that breaks out as well.  Plus in this lineup from Bioderma they have a cleansing water and a few different moisturizers to choose from to fit your facial needs.  This cleanser in particular has zinc sulfate and copper sulphate to help purify and cleanse the skin.  This cleanser can be used for people who have sensitive skin as well and it is also budget friendly with the 200 ml bottle going for about $15.00.

My personal opinion on this cleanser is that I am totally enjoying it for the summer.  My skin gets a deep clean without being over dry and feeling tight and uncomfortable.  I have been using this for a while now and my skin is loving it.  It helps to minimize my pores, keeps my skin looking matte and helps to reduce my breakouts.  I’m also happy that it has a pump, so a couple pumps on my brush and that’s all I need to get my skin clean and matte looking.  There is a tiny bit of a scent but it is very underwhelming and hardly noticeable after you dry your face.  Plus I use the cleansing water from the same line and my face is ready for the day.  I would definitely recommend this cleanser to anyone who is looking for a cleanser that won’t over dry your skin and great for the summer.

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post and hope to see you next week.  Have a good day my beauties!

Tip: I know this has been said a million times over, but always wash your face before going to bed.  Take off all that makeup, that dirt and grime from the day so your skin can breathe and you won’t wake up with a surprise on your face which it could have been prevented.
