We all want a concealer that helps to conceal, brighten and last but not least, it does not crease! It is absolutely horrible when it does ‘cause it totally accentuates the problems that you’re trying to cover up. The dark circles that you’re trying to cover up looks darker, the fine lines that you were trying to minimize and look brighter looks even worse because it’s all kicked up with the concealer that wasn’t supposed to crease. I’m sure you’ve had this problem at least once or twice or maybe even more like me.
I haven’t had a concealer in a while that doesn’t crease or that doesn’t have alcohol that will irritate my skin. It was about the same time last year that I had a concealer I could just put on and forget about it. So I’m still on a mission to finding a concealer that will impress me. What do I need it to do? At this point I just wanna make sure it doesn’t crease but as well brighten, make sure its oil free and the obvious, conceal!
Now how do I find the concealer like that? Do I need to spend $50.00 just to get what I need? Or do I go by my local drugstore and happen to find a concealer that is budget friendly but also works to do everything I need it to do? Of course I will spend the extra few dollars if I have to because some drugstore Brands don’t carry a lot of colors, but finally some of these companies are stepping up and making our life easier with color choices that you usually only saw in more high-end brands. L’oreal is one of those drugstore brands that has recently launched a new concealer was even more colors to choose from.
L’oreal true match multi use concealer
This new concealer from L’oreal is a medium coverage concealer that helps to brighten and blur imperfections. But the most important part for this launches also the fact that it comes in 14 shades and has a wide range of colors. It does little ego from light to medium to darker shades. Even for me who has a medium skin tone, finding a drugstore brand that has a wide range of colors is still a bit tough for me because it can be too cool (pink) or even a bit ashy or just not finding the right color ‘cause they don’t have much choices.
The shade ranges for this concealer comes in fair, light, medium and deep. But these categories have several different shades and the range is warm, cool or neutral. The color that I chose is W5-6 which is medium and the W means warm. This concealer has the sponge tip so you can dab it on and it blends in or you can use your own brush or finger. You do have to twist the bottom part for the product to come out of the sponge. It is supposed to quickly blend in and stay on all day without creasing.
I’ve been using this product for two weeks now and I have to say it is the first concealer in about a year that finally doesn’t crease under my eyes! How great is that to be able to finally find a product that is crease free. And the only reason why it took me awhile to finally purchasing it is because of the sponge tip. I can already see it’s starting to get loaded with the product itself so long ago and I have to wash it every so often so it doesn’t make me break out and hopefully it won’t but so far so good.
This concealer is definitely a medium coverage which I don’t mind ‘cause I usually go for medium coverage concealer and it really does help to hide my imperfections and brighten my eye area but most importantly it doesn’t crease! Even if I forget to set it still does not crease and it does stay on all day. I needed mostly for my dark circles and the occasional break out. Plus it has the ingredients Haloxyl glycerin that helps to moisturize and correct dark circles.
The texture of it is liquid but it feels kind of powder like when it is dries down. My fave thing about this concealer is that it doesn’t set super quickly so you can actually move it around before it sets which I love. So for me, it does spread very nicely and you don’t need a lot to use to cover what you need to cover up like my dark circles. It totally matches my skin tone and it doesn’t oxidize throughout the day at all and I don’t have to do a touch up during the day either. By the end of the day it did not crease and with my oily skin, the color can be a little different depending on the concealer itself but this one was true to its color.
I would definitely recommend for oily skin because it feels super light and it is oil free but I would just recommend it for any skin type and now almost any skin color which is great news and I’m glad that I have a drugstore companies are finally starting to change. And at $18.99 it is not that heap but not to expensive either.
Thank you for reading my latest blog post and hope to see you here again next week. Have a good day my beauties!
Tip: if you want a more natural look, put your concealer on both for your foundation and if you want more coverage put your concealer on after your foundation. And always blend, blend, blend!
