Vichy cleanser

This fall and winter season will be my first time change in my skincare routine.  I have slowly started but some of the stuff like using a serum every night with an oil free moisturizer instead of using a face cream that has glycolic acid.  Last winter it really made my skin feel uncomfortable so I’m opting to do a glycolic acid peel on a weekly basis instead.

I’m also changing my cleanser and my toner which I’ve already reviewed a couple articles a go.  Instead of using the same type of cleansers and toners and the spring and summer time for my oily skin, this time around im opting to use one for more normal to combination skin.  Too many changes right?  For me this is a whole new routine that I’ve never had before.  Now that my skin is finally changing I’m a bit scared and excited at the same time.

But for me it’s kind of cool ‘cause now that my skin is changing I can expertly recommend products for the normal to combination skin type when it used to be only for oily skin types.  I can actually tell them how the products felt, smell and what the results I got from these products and it’s great to have this experience in the beauty industry because there are so many makeup and skincare products to choose from.

So now that my skin care routine has thrown me for loop this fall and winter season, in this article I will be reviewing my new of the Vichy gel cleanser.

Vichy Purete themale fresh cleansing gel

Now my history with Vichy hasn’t been long and although we got off on the wrong foot years ago I was willing to give them another try.  So far this is my second product that I’ve used and you’ll have to wait till the end of this article to see if I like it.  Sounds like a relationship doesn it?  Well it kind is an long term one at that.

My skin still gets oily but as it’s gotten colder my skin took a weird turn and it felt tight and uncomfortable after cleansing.  I still need something that deep cleans but gentle enough it won’t strip my skin of everything.

Enter this cleansing gel that turns into a foamy lather once water is added to it.  This cleanser is for normal to combination skin but also for sensitive skin types but anyone can use it.  Like all Vichy Products it contains it special thermal water to help soothe and moringa seed extract which they call it their purisost technology that helps too cleanse away pollution, excess sebum and what piqued my interest was and helps to reduce the effects of hard water.  Now I don’t know too much about the science of heart of water but I know it’s not good for your skin.

Now here is my opinion on this cleanser.  I’ve been using this for a good month now and at of all the gel cleansers I’ve used there has only been a few that doesn’t over dry my skin and this is one of them.  I honestly thought it wouldn’t be enough for my skin but it turns out I was totally wrong.  It gives me a deep clean without making my skin feel tight and dehydrated and it did I forget to tell you that it is also alcohol and paraben free.  One pump is enough for my face and I like how it lathers up.  It does have a nice scent and it is not overbearing at all and the fact that it comes in a pump is very helpful.  The price for this cleanser is $19.95 which is not that steep at all because it will probably last me 3 to 4 months.

I hope this fall and winter season you have prepared for a skincare routine that will help you keep your skin glowing and healthy.  But if you need some assistance you can always find me here and read up on some products I’ve used or on any of my social media.  Until next week have a good when my beauties!

Tip: if you’re going too start on a skincare routine for different seasons, start slow!  Incorporate one or two products at a time just to make sure you don’t have a reaction and it’s working with the rest of your skincare routine.
