The past year, I haven’t had the best luck with eye creams specifically anti aging ones. And been 38, I wanna keep these wrinkles and sagging away for as long as possible! So if I can’t use anti-aging eye creams, what can I do? Should I just give up and throw my hands up and accept it for what is? Or find other helpful ways to age gracefully? Thank goodness I’m a skincare addict and I love trying anything and everything. And technically, you don’t really need an anti aging cream but more of just an eye cream to help maintain that area. Here are the concerns that we deal with around the eye area:
Wrinkles
Sagging
Texture
Dark circles
Bags
Even skin tone
For everyone, it is different. You can focus on just a dark circles for brighter skin, or you could just focus on all of them if you want to but it’s really just a preference of what type of eye cream you want and what your concerns are. Working in the beauty industry, these days I’ve helped people who are more concerned with dark circles, bags and making their eye area look brighter but not so much concerned about wrinkles. Whether these customers have accepted the aging process, doing cosmetic maintenance like laser or botox, whatever the case may be its definitely interesting and honestly about time that we’re embracing getting older.
Yes there is still anti-aging creams out there, but now there are just as much other eye creams that are only for brightening or just helps with dark circles and bags and there are even eye creams that are just for simply moisturizing the eye area. Plus, there’s those beautiful eye masks/patches that you can use weekly to help with maintaining your eye area which I have been doing considering I am using an eye cream that isn’t necessarily anti-aging but it does help with my dark circles and bags. This skincare collection is small but definitely worth trying. They are based in Los Angeles and their products and ingredients are clean by Europeans standards which bans 1300 plus ingredients that are too good for your skin. They are very much into sustainability of the ingredients and packaging of the products and they are cruelty free. I love how affordable it is, because this eye cream is $23.99 Canadian and it comes in a 15ml squeeze tube. It is a clear, gel texture with no scent and it is paraben and alcohol free.
So this eye cream has vitamin C, caffeine, ginseng root and niacinamide which helps too brighten and help circulate the eye area as well as flush out fluids that are under the eye area. I am enjoying wearing this eye cream because the gel texture quickly sinks into the skin and it feels great under my makeup. You can even pop it in the fridge before applying it on and it gives you a nice cooling and soothing eye cream. It really helps with the bags which I have seen an improvement but as for my dark circles and making the skin look brighter, I haven’t seen too much of a difference.
I do think I still need a little more time to see if it helps with my dark circles. Its only been just over a month so I can’t say for certain if it does work or not. But I do know is that I love the gel texture and I love how it helps with the bags under my eyes because I’ve seen how bad they look lately. I would definitely recommend this eye cream if you want a light, textured cream and if you have the same problem as me with bags. I will keep you updated when I have a final review on my Instagram. Thank you for coming here to read my latest review. Have a good day my beauties!
Tip: when applying your eye cream, don’t rub it in, tap it around the eye area. By doing a taping motion, it helps to wake up the eye area vs. rubbing the cream where it can look irritated and make the eye area look puffy and dark circles look darker. Remember, skin around the eye area is much thinner and must be taking care of in a more gentle approach.
