I have always been vigilant in wearing sunscreen everyday that I go out. No matter how long or how little I am out in the sun I always wear it. It’s kind of like your multivitamin, you take it every day to protectyour body on the inside and also to keep you healthy. As soon as you put into your routine it’sjust there, you just do it like everything else until it becomes your dailyroutine any forget that it’s even there.
Besides, having a sunburn isn’t the only way you can cause damage to your skin. For me to use as anexample, during the summer time when I walk to work for 10 to 15 minutes a dayevery day, I eventually get a tan on my feet. Now that may not mean much, but over the years with repeated sun exposure on my feet ‘cause I wear sandals like everyone else I see that I’m startingto see small little sunspots due to lack of not wearing sunscreen. If that happened to my feet, what would happen to my face without sunscreen? So that’s why I wear it every day the matter what.
But today there are so many choices and textures of sunscreen that your skin can be comfortable with today. When I first started out in the industry there wasn’t a whole lot of choices and if there was a sunscreen that I could wear, it looked kind of white on my skin so I had to put powder on top of it soit didn’t look shiny or white on my face. Today we are definitely lucky that no matter what skin type you have you can finally find a sunscreen that’s perfect for you.
Now that companies are making sunscreens fit for all skintypes, they are also making more sunscreens with added benefits for antiaging. I mean sunscreen is the holy grail of preventing wrinkles but now they are adding other ingredients to help fight wrinkles. Like anti-oxidants to help fight pollution and keep skin radiant floor even ingredients that is supposed to help with blue light that comes off your screens of your tablets or phones. So the one I chose to wear is alittle known company called Reversa which is by the way a canadian company. Here is my review on one of their sunscreens.
Reversa S.P.F. 30 radiance cream
This moisturizer caught my interest because not only does it have sunscreen it also has other ingredients like vitamin C and rumex that help to brighten skin as well as 4% glycolic acid. This is my first sunscreen that I’ve had that has other powerful ingredients to help with other issues such as even skin tone, wrinkles, acne scars and also protecting the skin from the sun.
I have been using this face cream for over a month now and I have really enjoyed using it. With 4%glycolic acid it is gentle enough to use on my face and it doesn’t feel dry or dehydrated especially when I was using the other cream that had 8% glycolicacid. It helps two refine my pores and also I am seeing a difference with my acne marks as they don’t look as bad as it used to.
The company reversais a skincare company based in Montreal and their skincare line is small buttheir products are very effective. So effective that in fact when I was going to a dermatologist many years ago it was their face cream with 8% glycolic acid and their body cream with 10%glycolic acid is what was recommended to me.
The vitamin C and the rumex both do similar jobs to help brighten the skin and even out acne marks and scars but the rumex helps too block an enzyme that is found in the skin called tyrosinse to prevent pigmentation from developing. So combine all these ingredients in one container with sunscreen and you have a power house of a moisturizer.
Plus it doesn’t feel heavy, it absorbs very well on my combination skin and it provides a good base for my makeup. It does come in a pump format which I do loveabout it and the cost of it is $49.00. I guess it might be a bit pricier but with all the ingredients it has in it I’m not complaining because it is so worth it with the results I’m getting. My main concern is that I break out and I’m left with the acne marks, this moisturizer helps to get rid of them faster.
I’ve heard A saying that if you can see your hand clearly in front of you that means there is enough sunlight that you have to wear a sunscreen. So even on a cloudy day you still need a sunscreen, well I do and every single day even in the winter. Thank you for reading my post this week and I’llsee you next week with another one. Tip: if your new to products that have a strong active ingredient like glycolic acid or vitaminC or even retinol, use only that one of the active product at a time. It’s and really all you need for your skin toget results and with that active product you deftly need a sunscreen so you can protect your results you’re getting and also it’s just a good idea to wear one.
