It’s hard to choose the right product, be it skincare or makeup. But when you finally find the right one, you hope it meets all your expectations, even exceeds them. You get home so excited to use them right away. Now what? Well now you have the waiting game. Makeup is different. You pretty much know what you want, whether it’s the latest voluminous, mascara, because yours is running out. Or a classic, nude lipstick that fits your everyday wardrobe. That is basically an immediate reward and you’re done.
Now the hard part is purchasing that new skin cream you’ve heard that does miracles, even does the job all in this one cream. You’ve heard great things about it in blogs (like mine) even from your friends who have used it and them say its fab. You take the plunge and go for it. Now what? Well here is two serums that I took the plunge and here are the reviews.
First up, the Lancome Dreamtone corrector #3 for dark skin tones. A day serum, because of the pinky, pearlescent hue to it, it blurred the look of dark spots and lines and gave the skin a uniform, even look to it. It was also a great base to your makeup, because it gave you that lit from within glow we all want for our face.
Instantly my skin looked less fatigued and brighter. But over time it treated my acne scars and evened out my skin tone. The even better part about it is that I wore less foundation! A girl’s dream come true!
There are three to choose. 1 being for fair skin tones, 2 for light to medium and 3 for dark skin tones. They are different in coloring, as they do adapt to your skin tone, so ask just in case you’re not sure which one is the right one for you.
Next we have Elizabeth Arden’s Prevage clarity (later discontinued because I went to repurchase but now they have only anti-aging daily serum which is basically the same thing, but bought something else because I’ll try anything different) this exclusive line that packs a punch and it works!. This serum does everything for you, all you need to do is put it on.
I personally used it at night, but you can use it day and night. Because of the potent ingredient that is one of the strongest antioxidants, Idebenone, it protects your skin from environmental aggressors such as pollution and smoke, plus it evens out skin tone, softens minor scars and helps with minimizing wrinkles. Yes it does it all and that’s why I loved it.
It did take me awhile to see the results, but by 2 and half month mark, my acne marks faded and my skin was brighter. In the end, I fell in love with it.
