rimmel and bioderma

When using a cleansing water for a while you don’t have to worry about using a separate toner and eye makeup remover. It’s your all in one go to, plus it saves you a few bucks. But nonetheless your cleansing water is done and you need to go into the world to find a replacement.

So this time I decided to buy a toner and eye makeup remover because my skin has been breaking out recently and I wanted a product to help my combination oily skin calmed down and keep matte and a separate eye makeup remover to effectively remove my waterproof makeup. Plus affordability for me counts but all the while not skipping on quality of product. Since I am using two different products I will be reviewing both of them this week in this post.

rimmel

Rimmel just let it go eye makeup remover

Sounds so simple right? Just let it go and that’s all you want your makeup remover to do at the end of the day. Saturate a cotton pad, gently put it over your eye and wipe your eye makeup away. Even if it’s waterproof makeup or you use an eye primer to keep your eye shadow from creasing, you want it all off with no fuss but with no oily residue left behind or even make up left behind for that matter. Plus if you can get it at a good price that doesn’t hurt either.

I’ve been eyeing this one for a while now and at only $8.99 I finally decided to give it a try. But to let you know I have not used any makeup products are recently by this company except for many years ago I’ve used a mascara, waterproof eyeliner and a lip gloss. So this is my recent purchase of a rimmel product. What is the reason for this purchase? Because I haven’t used this one yet and I’m on a budget which is important to me.

The most important thing I needed in my eye makeup remover is that it removes my waterproof eyeliner and my eye primer. And although I’d don’t mind a dual phased remover that you need to shake up before using, I do like an oil free makeup remover.

With that said, this eye makeup remover is oil free and light weight on the skin. It does not leave any residue behind. It doesn’t irritate my eyes and it doesn’t make me break out which is a good thing. My eyelids tend to get oily and I have to wear a waterproof eyeliner and if I’m wearing eye shadow, I have to wear an eye primer to stop it from creasing. So I definitely needed to buy a makeup remover to remove all this very well.

So my opinion on this eye makeup remover is that it is very effective at and getting all my eye makeup off and I really like the fact that it is not scented and easy to use. You don’t have to shake it up and use it, you just pour on your cotton pad and wipe off. I’m not sure if it’s me or I’m being picky with it, but I do have to pour quite a bit onto a cotton pad to remove everything. Maybe it’s because I’m wearing a lot of eye makeup I’m not sure but I use A couple cotton pads soaked with this product but the makeup does come off. But I definitely would recommend using this eye makeup remover.

bioderma

Bioderma Sebuim H2O Cleansing water/Toner

A toner with no alcohol for combination oily skin? it is still somewhat tough to find a toner for my skin type with no alcohol, but thank goodness there are so many skincare lines to choose from these days. My skin has been freaking out recently so I decided to buy this cleansing water/ toner. Bioderma is well known for their cleansing water that is also a IE makeup remover, you know the one with the red and white label? And this cleansing water in particular for oily skin only cleanses or tones the face.

My personal opinion on this toner is that it wins bonus points for sure was made because yes it has no alcohol! And it doesn’t have any harsh ingredients too over dry or irritate the skin. Because it is only for sensitive skin, it doesn’t have too many ingredients which is great. The most active ingredient seems to be citric acid which gently exfoliate the skin. Zinc gluconate and copper sulphate helps too purify and clean the skin. They also have their own technology called Fluidactiv which helps to regulate the sebum to keep pores from being clogged.

So far so good. My skin doesn’t feel tight or uncomfortable. My skin is softly matte and my pores look smaller after I use this cleansing water. I do use it before I wash my face and after just to make sure all my makeup is gone. This is one of the few cleansing water/toner that I’ve used that is great for my complicated skin. And the price is also great because there are two sizes that this comes in. I purchased the 250 ml for $11.99, the 500 ml is I believe $20.99. So even if you don’t have sensitive skin but you have combination to oily skin and you want a cleansing water/toner that works I urge you to try this one out. So until next week my beauties have a good day!
