And This year for me has been interesting to say the least, because I turned 36 and I’m slowly getting into anti-aging skincare.  Yikes!  It is kind of tough being in the spot knowing you’re going from one skincare routine to another.  But my skin is still acting like it’s in its early twenties, like breaking out, large pores, shiny skin that needs to be an blotted every 2 to 3 hours so I don’t look like a headlight.  So what is a woman like me at my age to do with her skincare routine?

Well thank goodness today’s beauty industry there’s so many companies and the skincare products to choose from.  Not to mention skincare for all ages, but also skincare for all skin types which believe me 10 years ago it was not that simple to find.  And anti-aging skincare has gotten better with companies giving you choices on what type of anti-aging skincare you want and even the type of textures as well, like gel cream for combination to oily skin or oil free ones which wasn’t all that common before.

Now that I have so many choices, it’s time to make a decision.  And this is where for me it can be a bit tricky.  Although I’ve been recommending anti-aging skincare to my clients for years, the tables have turned and now I have to figure out what I want to use.  Although this is new territory for me to choose an anti-wrinkle skincare routine which by the way is super scary.  I now have to look for skincare that gives me more than hydration, like hydration with a boost of vitamin C to brighten the skin.  Plus it has to be oil free and in lotion format because I still break out.  But also some moisture so my skin doesn’t feel dehydrated but also doesn’t add shine to my already shiny skin.  Did you get all that?  It sure is a tough list to stick to but I think I’m getting the hang of it.

Nuxe Nirvanesque smoothing eye contour cream

I don’t think I’ve used and all natural or mostly natural product in awhile.  So I decided to go that route and tried this eye cream that is 93.4% natural to be specific and it also the box to.  I do like the one part about this skincare line, that almost every skincare product in the line it tells you the percentage of how old naturally it is.  Select get to know more about this skincare line and product.

It is from France and it is also part of the Clarins family which is skincare that is based on using plants and flower extracts from nature.  The nuxe skincare line uses mainly flower extracts, oils and anything else you can think of that comes from flowers.  You probably would’ve heard of their cult favorite their body oil which is very popular because you can use it on your face, hair and body soaked perfect for traveling for someone who wants to keep their skincare routines simple.

My eye cream that I chose is from the Nirvanesque collection that helps with the first signs of wrinkles.  And since the eye area is the first place you see lines and aging I chose this into wrinkle cream for just that.  The main ingredients is the hyaluronic acid and peony which really helps to reduce inflammation, brighten the eye area and the hyaluronic acid helps to hydrate and plump the eye area.  Also plant caffeine, poppy seeds and blue Lotus all help to stimulate the eye area to help reduce bags and dark circles.

So my personal opinion on this eye cream is so far so good.  I’ve been using it for almost a month now and I don’t have any allergies to it, it is light enough that it moisturizes the eye area but I don’t break out from it.  There is supposed to be a bit of a scent to it but I don’t really smell anything and it doesn’t irritate my eyes so what’s a bonus for me.  By the skin around my eyes does feel moisturized and hydrated and it seems to look brighter.  Plus it does have a yellow tent to it and I’m not sure if they did that on purpose or not but it seems to help mask any darkness under the eye.

I am glad that it is paraben free and natural for the most part and I am starting to see the results from it which I was and kind of always have been skeptical of using all natural products, because I think they won’t work.  But this eye cream seems to be helping.  At $41.00 it’s not too steep of a prize, but enough to want to make you do some research behind the skincare line.  I’ve done my research on this Nuxe skincare line and judging by how the eye cream is going, I’m sure there is more nuxe products in my future.  And until next week my beauties have a good day!

Tip: Its great using natural products, but always be aware that you could get a reaction from it. Just because its natural doesn’t mean you wont get allergies from the products.
