Finally!  The weather is finally getting warmer and there is the sun..  Well it’s not out every day and were still at that point where the weather can be nice and warm one day but cold and snow in the next but it definitely is staring to warm up.  Which means switching to our spring/summer makeup like bronzers, lighter foundations and pop of colors on the lids or lips.  I mean who doesn’t love shopping for new makeup?

But with the warmer weather ahead of us, for us to oily skin sisters it can be a sign of being prepared for all the excess sebum and shine that we will be blotting away with our blotting papers or patting away with our matifying powders.  Now it’s not the end of the world kind of deal, but if you don’t have the right tools in your bag to keep your shine at bay, it’s not the excess oil or shiny have to worry about but it’s also how your makeup can look when you mix your oils, sweat and heat.  It’s not a good look for anyone unfortunately.

Now more than ever I’m definitely prepared for the spring and summer season.  I got a matte concealer and foundation as well as my blotting sheets that I always keep with me in my makeup bag and now I just added a matte powder to help keep my skin looking matte throughout the day.  It’s a powder I do wanting to try and now I can cross it off my bucket list.  Here is my latest review on this powder.

Makeup forever duo matte powder

In the past, I have used several of their makeup products like their brushes, eyeshadows, eyeliners and even there eye makeup remover and their most popular product their eye seal.  But I haven’t gotten into their foundations until now.

This powder can be used as a foundation ‘cause it does have a medium coverage.  It helps to provide a long wearing and matte look for your skin.  It is definitely perfect for people who have combination to oily skin and their not comfortable with a liquid foundation yet.  But if you’re like me and you wear a liquid foundation, this is perfect for your makeup bag when you’re out all day and need to touch up your makeup as well as pat away the shine.  It comes in a compact with a mirror and sponge and the color I picked was number 207.  The cost of it is $43.00 so it is a little bit pricey.

This powder has been the best matifying powder that I’ve used so far.  I have used so many of them in the past but this one has me not going to my blotting papers every couple hours.  I can survive without my blotting papers for about 4 hours without even that much shine.  It would be every couple hours that I would literally have to blot my oils away but adding this powder to my makeup routine is a game changer.

The reason why it is a game changer is that they did add a couple of ingredients that I haven’t seen in a matifying makeup before.  To help absorb the extra oils in your skin they have added Methyl TCassia Angustifolia extract plus dimethicone to smooth out the skin.  This powder really does help my skin feel and look good witch who doesn’t want their makeup to help boost their look and treat your skin well?

I love that this powder and other makeup are putting the time to make your skin look good, ‘cause that’s what makeup does but also treat the problem and this is one of them.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post this week and I’ll see you next week!

Tip: No matter what you put on your face your oils will come out eventually. It’s a matter of finding the best makeup and skincare routine that will best suit your skin. Once you realize this then you can start to feel good in your skin and not expect the world from your products when it doesn’t do exactly what you want. Find products that won’t irritate or disturb the ph levels of it cause that will do more damage then good.
