Like some of you, I’ve had to adjust my routine, both makeup and skincare.  Maybe some of you have kept your makeup or skincare routine the same, which I’m so jealous.  But then, there are ones like me, who have to change their makeup and skincare.  I don’t have much of an issue with changing up my skincare but when it comes to my foundation, I love to have a medium to full coverage foundation.  I can’t remember the last time I wore a tinted moisturizer and to wear one and breaking out because I’m wearing a mask, well that’s straight up scary!

OK I’m being a little dramatic!  But I wanted less breakouts and I wanted my skin to feel and look better.  So what does one wear if they want some coverage but also some moisture?  So I’ve turned to a tinted moisturizer which thankfully come in different textures, for different types of skin and definitely great shade selection.  But one company that I’ve literally tried most of their foundations and have had great success with, came out with a new tinted moisturizer that I had to use.  Plus, it fit the bill for what I needed right now.  If you want to know more about my new addition to my makeup collection, keep reading to find out.

Smashbox halo tinted moisturizer

This tinted moisturizer has an spf of 25 that gives your skin a boost of hydration while giving your skin a light coverage to help even out skin tone but giving you a natural and glowing finish.  What this tinted moisturizer doesn’t have is alcohol, oil, parabens, synthetic fragrance, oxybenzone, hydroquinone and lauryl.  To name just a few great ingredients in fist tinted moisturizer like and watermelon extract, apple fruit extract and hyaluronic acid to help hydrate the skin and silcones to help prime and smooth the skin.  This tinted moisturizer is also $48.00 and you get a 40 ml squeeze tube.

So I purchased this tinted moisturizer in medium and it is the perfect color for me.  I use my Tatibeauty sponge to apply it on my face and a little bit goes a long way.  Plus I don’t want to apply too much before I break out.  I have combination skin that gets dehydrated in the winter time pretty easily, so wearing this tinted moisturizer especially while wearing a mask has proven to help keep my skin hydrated as much as possible.  The colder season doesn’t help but wearing this tinted moisturizer has been very helpful at maintaining my moisture levels in my skin.

Other than being the perfect color for my skin tone, it leaves a nice, dewy finish giving you that glowing skin.  Now, for you combination to oily skin beauties, I know this can be a bit much.  You don’t want any more shine on your face.  Neither do I but with colder weather and wearing a mask, I need all the light hydration I can get.  I use a setting powder to help mattify my skin and use a concealer for more coverage in problem areas.  Keeping my makeup routine simple is helping with my breakouts.

I would absolutely recommend using this tinted moisturizer if you’re in need of changing your makeup.  I know some of us have switched from a foundation to a tinted moisturizer because it feels better on the skin and for me personally, wearing a foundation with the mask really felt uncomfortable and even irritating on my skin.  I mean, wearing no makeup is probably better but if you’re going to wear something, wearing a tinted moisturizer is probably your best bet at having glowing skin.

I hope this article and my last one has helped you.  I hope to see you here next time on my next article.  Have a good day my beauties and stay safe and stay healthy.
