One of the many things I’ve learned from the beauty industry, is you should be open to new things. You can apply this on to your life but definitely when it comes two makeup and skincare, unless you have skin that is sensitive or acne problem, trying out different makeup and skincare is a must. For me, that definitely isn’t difficult because once I use something once, I get bored and want to try something else. Even if it’s a sheet mask, I move on. I know, weird right? But that’s just how I am. But for me, that’s the fun part. I’m always looking for something new to try and I’m always in the market for new or cult products.
The one skincare territory I haven’t covered is Korean skincare. To be honest, I’ve only used Korean sheet masks and I found them to be very helpful and great in quality. But to actually use skincare like a cleanser, face cream or even some of the beauty tools like a jade roller, I really want to get into Koreans skincare so I can say I tried it. For the most part, they are affordable which I love and they use good quality ingredients which I prefer nowadays. And plus, now that I’m getting older I’m really relying on my skincare so I can age gracefully at least.
But you know when several of your skincare products literally finish at the same time? Well, I chose to take this rare opportunity and buy a bunch of Korean skincare and tried it out. I purchased a cleanser, a toner and an eye cream, as well as a jade roller and a gua shua which are skincare tools to aid in your skincare routine. Because it’s only been a couple weeks, I’m going to start with reviewing the cleanser I purchased. With a cleanser it’s pretty easy to find out if it’s good or not and as for the toner and eye cream, I usually wait for several weeks to see if they are working or not.
Corsx foam cream cleanser
This hyaluronic cleanser is a cream base. It contains three different hyaluronic acid, pro vitamin B5 as well as Lauric acid, Palmtic acid and Myristic acid. It is alcohol and paraben free but there is perfume in the cleanser. It costs $16.00 for 150 ml squeeze tube.
This cleanser does go a long way as you don’t need much because it lathers up quite a bit. And it does have a lot of nourishing ingredients. For some reason when I use it with my hands, it tends too dehydrate my skin but when I use it with my facial brush, it doesn’t. So before I put it on my face, I lather it up in my hands first and then apply it on my skin and it works well that way. And it definitely gives you a deep clean and removes makeup and dirt.
I do like this cleanser and it does give me a deep clean but the fragrance in this cleanser is a bit strong. If I’m home chilling all day, I can smell it and it seems strong but when I’m getting ready to go to work, I don’t seem to smell it as much. Again, I don’t mind having a soft, subtle scent but if it lingers even after I’ve washed my face, it can get annoying. Usually, perfume in skincare is usually at the bottom of the list but this one is close to the top as the 10th ingredient and this cleanser has almost 30 ingredients. But I will definitely keep using it till I finish and it and let you know my final thoughts on my Instagram account.
I have a couple more Korean skincare that I have yet to to review so I will keep you posted as I use them. Thank you for reading my latest article and I’ll see you soon!
Tip when it comes to choosing skincare, choose what your skin needs and not what everyone else is using. Social media and people around you will say something is great and maybe it’ll work for your skin but if it’s not for your skin type or concern, don’t bother. It might cause you more problems than you need.
