Nude by Nature

When I’m looking for new makeup specially foundation or concealer I am very picky, but I have always been very picky.  You see, I have oily skin so my foundation or concealer has to be light weight, oil free and doesn’t add to my problem with shiny skin.  Plus I need to have my foundation or concealer to give me coverage, enough to cover what I’d don’t want to be seen like my pesky circles and minor imperfections I usually get during a certain time of the month if you know what I mean.  But also I coverage that doesn’t make me feel like I’m wearing a heavy mask either.  And a foundation or concealer that will also give me a glow.  Too much to ask for?  Maybe not.

Foundations and concealer have come a long way since I started in the beauty industry.  Nowadays everything I just said in my last paragraph can come in one product and it’s really cool that you have choices.  In my early twenties there wasn’t a lot of choices unless they were expensive and even a lot of companies did have the appropriate coloring for my skin tone.  Now in my mid thirties, I get lots of choices even anti aging ones if I wanted to.  But I’m always in the mood something new.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve had to be careful with my purchases especially with a concealer.  A concealer can literally a make or break a look.  How you ask?  Well if it’s too late, you look like you have headlights on your face or around eyes and if too dark, you look extra tired and it won’t blend well.  Then there is a matter of creasing because trust me it does not look good.  The last two concealers I had seemed very nice and moisturizing, but by mid day most of it creased into my lines and I was horrified!  It has been almost two months now and finally I found a concealer.  Here is my review on my latest fine.

Nude by Nature Perfecting Concealer in Latte

Coming from Australia, this line has proven that natural can be beautiful.  Made with natural ingredients and some that can only be found in Australia, not only does it cover up my imperfections and dark circles but it also hydrates and treats my skin as well.  Makeup that helps treat my skin is a definite bonus for me.

This concealer is light to medium coverage and brightens the eye area instantly blot hydrating in moisturizing it.  Enriched with vitamin E, Shea butter, Jojoba and a native ingredient called Kakadu Plum, these ingredients helped to conceal and highlight dark circles.  The creamy like texture finishes off almost powder like and sets very quickly.

My personal opinion on this concealer is that it’s not bad.  When I first looked at it, it didn’t look like it would be my color.  But I put it on and blended on my skin which was not that difficult to do and it looked really good.  It does set quickly and doesn’t move which I like about it.  It really does help brighten the eye area and I really do like hell it blends.  It blends so well into the skin that it doesn’t feel heavy and it doesn’t look cakey.

My only issue with this concealer is that it does crease under my eyes.  But not every day which is weird because concealers that I have used and that creased under my eyes, it happens every day.  But when I first got this concealer, the first couple weeks I had no issues, but the last few days that I’ve used it, the issue has cropped up.  I’m not sure if it’s the weather or my skin is dehydrated around the eyes, but I do use a setting powder which helps too decrease the chances of it creasing under my eyes which helps.

This concealer is $24.00 so a bit pricier than the one I used before.  I will keep on using it until it is done so I can see if it is the actual formula that is making it crease under my eyes or maybe the slight weather change that has been happening recently.  But I will let you know on Instagram later on in a final empties review.  Until next week my beauties, have a good week.
