When I buy skincare, I’m free to buy anything from any company.  I normally don’t have to worry about getting a reaction but I do try to be mindful of what’s in my products these days.  My number one no no is that I absolutely cannot have bad alcohol in my skincare!  With my experience, it dehydrate my skin and makes it look rougher looking in texture which is something I don’t want for my skin.  I also try not to purchase skincare that is heavily fragranced because it’s not necessary to have it in your skincare, as well as little too no parabens.

But the last couple months have experienced allergic reactions from a serum and an eye cream.  I feel like as I’ve gotten older, my skin has become somewhat sensitive to certain products that are potent ingredients wise.  So I’m not entirely sure what I’m allergic to and what will give me a reaction and for me, this is new territory.  Especially after the eye cream I purchased, I wanted all the bells and whistles that go with it and anti-aging eye cream.  To help reduce wrinkles, dark circles, bags under the eyes and look brighter.  So when I had an allergic reaction to that I’ve cream, what was I going to do?

As much as I wanted an eye cream that would take care of everything, it wasn’t going to happen for me, at least right now.  So I ended up going the opposite direction.  Instead of an eye cream that had packed in 50 ingredients in it, I chose an eye cream that was simple with a little list of ingredients and hopefully effective in reducing my dark circles and bags.  But most importantly, that it didn’t give me an allergic reaction.  Read on for my latest find.

Embryolisse Eye Stick

In 1950 this brand was developed by a dermatologist working in a hospital that was looking for a facial cream that would help comfort and moisturize people’s sensitive skin.  This brand has become a cult beauty favorite and makeup artists have been using this brand for years whether there backstage or in there kit.  Personally I discovered this brand when it launched at my local drugstore and later on found out that makeup artists had been using it in their kit.  And now when I do makeup, I use this as a base and primer.

But let me talk about the eye cream.  This eye cream in a stick format is $33.00 and is 4.5 g in weight.  There is no parabens, no alcohol and definitely no scent.  It has under 15 ingredients, some of them being aloe leaf juice, glycerin, vitamin PP which helps reduces water loss in the epidermis and helps to lock in moisture.  It also contains polysaccharides which helps too brighten the eye area.

I have been using this eye cream for about a month now and I am quite enjoying it.  As soon as I apply this eye cream on, there is an immediate cooling sensation that definitely helps to reduce my dark circles and bags and I don’t have to put it in the fridge!  That’s why I immediately fell in love with it.  It goes on smoothly, dries down very quickly and it is very good under makeup.  I’ve had no irritation from this eye stick whatsoever and I feel very comfortable using this eye stick.

I would definitely recommend this eye cream for anyone wanting something that is going to be okay for sensitive skin and anyone else who just wants a no fuss eye cream.  It can work for every ones skin ‘cause it is so light weight and melts into the skin so nicely.  Plus there is no harsh ingredients and literally only 11 ingredients in this eye cream which I find surprising but also impressed because it works.  I get why makeup artists use this brand and why they love it.

Thank you for reading my latest post and I’ll be back next week with a new one.  Have a good day my beauties!
