It’s been a long time since I’ve fallen for eye palette this hard. I can’t even remember the last time I bought one that’s how long it’s been. In the past I’ve bought mostly singles maybe a few duos but for me buying a actual eye palette is very tough. I’ve always been discouraged of buying a large palette for fear of wasting my money and only using half of it which I have done and then I end up tossing it because I’ve used what I needed. And I know I’m not the only one who goes through this over and over again.
So how do you solve this problem? Well you can either buy singles, or even smaller eye palette that contains four or five eyeshadows. Or after years of striking against large eye palette because you actually might have found one that you have completely fallen head over heels over and that you can actually use all of them and affordable is definitely a must for me. I hope you enjoy this post as much as I am writing it because I’m so excited to share the new Maybelline burgundy bar eye palette.
Maybelline: The burgundy bar eye palette
As you know if you follow me on Instagram I complained about another Maybelline eye palette from the temptation line because as much as I loved the colors, there wasn’t a lot of pigment to them. But unfortunately there was no tester so I bought it on a whim. A couple weeks after this incident, I saw this new burgundy palette and yes it did have a tester and I absolutely fell in love with it. Since I have bought this I have used it almost every day that I go out, even if it’s just a wash of color to brighten my eyes, it’s absolutely versatile.
This eye palette does contain 12 eyeshadows that are a mixture of matte, metallic and I guess super sparkle you can say to add more glow to the eyes. As I said before you can do a simple everyday look to more dramatic and I’m gonna take this awesome pic of it look. All in one palette and a color I never thought I would go for or even like on my skin tone, which by the way it shows on my skin tone. I have enjoyed using this eye palette so much that I’ve been taking pictures of me constantly so when this post goes live I can show you on my Instagram the many looks that I’ve done.
There isn’t a lot of kickback when you dip your brush into the powders. The colors do range from soft white, browns, copper, actual burgundy color which I love and a couple of bright but deep burgundy and red colors. I do have to admit that I haven’t used the brighter burgundy colors but by this time that this post goes up I would have experimented and I will definitely show you some pics on Instagram.
I hope that this is not my last eye palette that I can get, at least not waiting a few years to get one. But the main reason why I got this one was because it was only $18.99 and even if I don’t use all the colors, I won’t feel so bad. But seriously how do you guys out there feel when you get through an eye palette you love, but you see that you have a few that haven’t been touched or used very little? Do you just get expensive or affordable ones only? Tell me what you think and calm it down below or on any one of my social media. So until next week have a good day my beauties!
