Hi my beauties!  It’s been awhile that I haven’t done a blog makeup and skincare review.  Honestly, I’ve just been lazy and also the last couple months my skin has become a bit sensitive.  So from here on, my skincare products will be based on my sensitive skin.  So a lot of products probably won’t work out for me but if you don’t have any sensitivity, it might work for you.  But if you have sensitive skin, these products might be something you can try.  Sensitive skin is hard to figure out considering people are allergic to certain ingredients but hopefully we can help each other along this journey.

The skin around my eyes have gotten sensitive and no I do not put any of these products near my eyes.  I do use a gentle eye cream first and then apply my skincare around the area.  I’ve kinda narrowed it down to what might possibly be affecting my eyes.  It might be a strong fragrance and vitamin C so far which kind of sucks because I love vitamin C.  But there’s so many alternatives that I’m sure it will not be difficult to find an alternative.

So on this journey of finding products for my sensitive skin, I started with one of the most basic skincare products in a skincare routine.  The toner!  I had to switch it up any ways, due to the fact that it is winter.  So I purchased this new toner from one of my favorite Brands that I’ve used so my products from over the years.  So far, I’ve never experienced a problem so I figured because it’s made for sensitive skin specifically why not start their?  Read on for my latest review on this toner.

My new skincare routine

Bioderma Hydrabio toner

This hydrating toner is $19.99 and 250 ml.  It is geared towards sensitive skin and is paraben, alcohol free noncomedogenic.  Some of the ingredients that are in this toner are glycerin, niacinamide, citric acid and vitamin E.  The Bioderma skincare company is focused on making sure the skin is respected and taking care of from their products.  Their formulas are designed specifically for sensitive skin and therefore their skincare lines are straightforward and simple.

The texture of this toner is very light weight and easily absorbs into the skin.  When I first used it, I detected a scent but it wasn’t too heavy and very mild.  It took me a week to actually see this because I wasn’t really paying attention, but when I looked in the mirror I could see that it immediately hydrated my skin after I washed it.  It looked and felt soft and smooth.  My skin felt refreshed and lightly hydrated and for anyone who is combination to oily skin like me, I have not broken out and it doesn’t leave a weird residue on my skin as well.  It literally disappears into the skin as if I didn apply a hydrating toner at all.

This is a toner that I would recommend for all skin types.  I completely love this toner and I love how immediately I apply it that it absorbs into my skin and leaves it so hydrated and soft.  Now I understand that it has a scent but quite honestly it disappears within minutes.  Maybe someone who has more sensitive skin then me may not want a fragrance at all because it might irritate their skin but for me, I’ve used it for a couple months now and I haven’t experienced any reaction from it.  I could safely say that I could use this toner all year round and I wouldn’t have a problem with it.  Although maybe in the summer, it might leave my skin a bit more dewy then I want it to be.  But, who complains about dewy skin any ways hehe.

Thank you so much for reading my latest blog post and for coming on this journey with me to discover my newly sensitive skin.  I hope to see you here next time with my next blog post.  Have a good day my beauties!
