someone like me can use just about any makeup or skincare product you put in front of me and I almost never get a reaction.  But when you’re also like me and using a bunch of different products, you might once in a while have a reaction.  But how does one go about healing the skin and going about your daily routine and not have to worry about it?

Well hopefully, this article can at least help you get on the right track to recovering your skin.  This is my personal journey of what I did to help my skin heal.  But I am warning you that it will take time for your skin too get back to normal.  It took my skin about two weeks to feel normal again and I have combination to oily skin.  I’m sure for different skin types it may take longer or shorter, but it will take time.

I wasn’t sure why my skin was reacting, if it was stress or a new skincare product that I added into my routine but when I had my reaction, I did the obvious thing and stopped using that product.  And here’s a few more things I did to keep my skin protected and repair itself until the irritation went away.

  • Stop using products with active ingredients such as glycolic acid or retinol
  • Do not exfoliate!  It will irritate your skin even more and take twice as long to recover.  Even if you see some flaking of the skin, let it flake off naturally, do not peel off as a it will again take your skin longer to recover.
  • You should try to keep your skin as hydrated/moisturized as much as possible.  So use both serum and moisturizer and do use a hydrating/nourishing mask as many times as needed.  (hydrating for combination to oily skin, nourishing for normal to dry skin)
  • Spray, spray, spray!

Spray???  Spray what?  Well if you haven’t picked up on it yet, here it is.  Keep your skin hydrated as much as possible.  The skin may feel itchy, tight, redness and hives might occur, so you need to be vigilant in keeping your skin as calm as possible.  For the most part, my skin was suffering from loss of water making it very uncomfortable and tight feeling, plus my skin felt very bumpy and rough to the touch but you couldn’t really see that until you touched my skin.  Amongst using a hydrating serum and moisturizer, I would spray a thermal water onto my skin.  And this is the products I will be reviewing and why everyone should have this in their skincare routine and.

Bioderma Hydrabio Mist

This thermal spray comes in a 300 ml bottle for $13.90.  It is fragrance free, paraben free, alcohol free, hypoallergenic and non comedogenic.  So it’s definitely safe for the skin and is for all skin types and for different uses like sunburn, rashes, sensitive skin and just all around relief for the skin.  Anyone can use this on their skin, even kids!  It has soothing ingredients like zinc and mannitol and they have what they call D.A.F. (Dermatological Advanced Formulation) that involves seaweed extract and the ingredients in this thermal spray to work together to help improve the tolerance of the skin.

I’ve been using a product like this for years and it has been an excellent skincare product that can be used for literally everything, at least for me.  When my usual one that I always use was done, I just picked up this one because it was new to me.  And I totally love it.  My husband uses it after he shaves his face because his face feels itchy after he shaves, so he sprays this on afterwards it calms down his skin.  That’s when you know you found great product.

For me, I usually use it when I shave my legs, soothe my skin after I’ve been outside for long periods of time and recently when I had an allergic reaction to some skincare.  I couldn’t really pile on moisturizer on my face constantly throughout the day when I had my reaction.  So spraying this thermal water every couple hours or so help to relieve my dehydrated and burning skin.  Immediately, I felt it calm my skin and hydrate it without me breaking out.  And when I was getting ready for work or just before going to bed, even before my regular skincare routine, I spray this on my face first, let it dry and then apply my skincare.

This skincare product, I truly recommend because it is amazing for everything, at least everything to do with your skin.  I would definitely love it if they came out with a travel size so I could pack it in my bag when I need it but because I’m a skincare junkie, I will carry it anyway if I need it.

Well I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I hope to see you next week.  Have a good day my beauties and stay safe and stay healthy!
