I have been working in the beauty industry for almost 15 years now and it has afforded me a front seat two all new product launches and trends that come and go and recycled and come back. With those trends and new product launches, we also get the chance to try out new products, find out what the back story is and why we absolutely need it in our makeup routine. Before beauty influencers, bloggers and vloggers, us beauty experts, magazines and word of mouth were usually the go to in finding the next best thing.
But today, we don’t have to look only at luxury makeup and drug store makeup, we have a niche that is growing so fast we can’t seem to keep up. Now we can look towards indie makeup Brands and beauty influencers who are launching their own and discover something new and exciting. Besides, for us makeup junkies, we always want to find the next best thing. And the reason why these smaller Brands are popping up and are an instant hit with us, is because only a smaller group of makeup junkies will flock towards these brands.
This is one of the reasons why we are leaning towards smaller beauty brands. Another reason is we can actually interact with the ceo of the company whether it’s on their social media, blog or youtube. Sometimes we even get the chance on behind the scenes of what’s happening and how their products are made before launch. And not to mention, if your chosen, you’ll get a PR package or even get to go to their launch party and try out their new products before it hits stores and online. So in a way, it’s more personal and interactive then the bigger, more known companies.
Three years ago, when I started my blog I never expected that I would be contacted by indie makeup Brands and even less likely to try a beauty influencer brand because I honestly didn’t know influencers were actually collaborating with companies or making their own products. It’s only been the last year or so that I’ve actually tuned in literally on youtube and saw how these beauty influencers were launching their own Brands. And there is a lot of talented makeup artists out there who are amazing but only a few have caught my attention.
Tati Westbrook caught my attention because we’re the same age, we have some of the same skin care concerns and compared to the other youtubers, she does for makeup in a more tame way. And when you have a connection to any one of these people, it’s good for them but bad for you ‘cause if they do have a beauty brand, you’ll likely invest in their brand vs. One that you have no connection with. Am I wrong? You know I’m right!
So her latest launch in January called Blendiful which included one a big blending sponge and one smaller blending sponge. Sponge isn’t the right word so I would just call them blendifuls. So here it is my review on this blendiful.

So when you purchased this package, it comes with two blendifuls. One is the bigger, light gray blendiful and one is a smaller, heart shaped blendiful. They retail for two for $18.00 U.S. They are made at of 100% polyester polyurethane which really makes them super soft to the touch and helps blends your makeup seamlessly.
These blendifuls are supposed to be your multitaskers when you’re doing your makeup. They flawlessly put on your foundation, concealer, powder etc. so you don’t have to use multiple brushes for every step, if you don’t want to. Plus, it doesn’t leave harsh lines on your face and blends everything smoothly to give you a flawless look.
So this is the second time I’ve purchased something from this beauty line and I haven’t been disappointed so far. As a makeup artist, I have used seller products like this in the past and I do enjoy using these blendifuls. The bigger blendiful helps to put on my liquid foundation very quickly and easily. There definitely is no harsh lines and my foundation on my skin looks amazing. The smaller one, I used too put on my setting powder or powder foundation to give it a matte finish and it was really helpful.
my favorite thing about this Blendiful is that it cuts my time in applying my foundation, concealer and powder and I have extra time to do other stuff. I do enjoy how it feels on my skin because it’s so soft and because it’s so soft, it makes your makeup go on smoothly. I do love how versatile this product is and how seamlessly it can put on your makeup and you don’t have to use that many tools to create a beautiful look. It definitely is a timesaver. As a makeup artist or someone who is traveling a lot and you don’t want to pack up all your brushes, these two blendifuls can definitely minimize your makeup bag.
I definitely would recommend purchasing these because they are a good tool to add to my collection. But would I repurchase them again? Maybe. They are a little pricey when you convert it into Canadian dollars and for them to only last maybe a few months if you take good care of them, I’m not sure if it’s totally worth it to me to constantly repurchase them.
Honestly though, I’m really happy with my purchase and I love using them. They are fun to use and I always love trying new products out. This is why I love the beauty industry, you discover products and you either love them or hate them but you gotta try them out at least once for right? But I always encourage people to try products and colors and see what you like. You might discover something about you that you didn realize before.
